Quiet Please! Volume 1 is the first video guide to show you how to make your computer quieter. It features hands-on examples, and demonstrations of things you can do now.

This video focuses on the beginner by setting basic ground rules that anyone can follow:

3. Materials and resources that are easy to obtain and inexpensive

With real world examples, the different types of noise and their sources are identified and illustrated. Then, easy-to-understand techniques are shown to reduce or eliminate the noise from each source.

We also set up a place to shoot the video the same way many people work on their computer: on a small table in a corner of a room. Not everyone has a large garage or workshop to tool around in !

To demonstrate the possible results, three real world noisy computers were modified using the techniques presented in the video. Each example profiles the noise each computer made before any modification. Then, the techniques are applied, and a summary of the steps performed is shown. Finally, the before and after noise is illustrated, with very noticeable results.

Since even the best of us make mistakes, a humorous bonus reel is also included, with too many bloopers caught during the making of the video.
